Lawrence T. Courteau age 87 of Maple Plain and formerly of Waverly, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He was born on December 12, 1929. Lawrence and his wife, Jeanne, were married on October 1, 1949. God blessed their marriage with eight children. He owned and operated the Courteau Funeral Home in Maple Plain, Minnesota for 33 years and also worked full time for the Minneapolis post office.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, six children: Tom, (Becky) Courteau, Laura (Paul) Kunz, Terry (Fred) Skreen, Tony (Dawn) Courteau, Chris (Glenn) Zalusky, and Peter (Kim) Courteau; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.

He was preceded in death by two daughters: Ellen Stotts and Renee Courteau; one grandchild: Kevin Stotts Jr; and one great-grandchild: Daniel Schanus Jr.

Larry was a very compassionate man, always helping others. He would have been proud to know he was able to help others one last time, in donating his eyes. He believed in Jesus as his personal savior. We believe he is in heaven and we will see him again one day.
