In Memory of

Harold Leyse

June 29, 1937 – April 3, 2016
Robbinsdale, Minnesota

Harold grew up in a small town in Granite Falls, Minnesota. After high school, he joined the Army. He later attended college and then married my mother Janice. They remained happily married until her passing in 2009. Harold was 78 when he passed away. Harold was a successful business owner and had retired about five years earlier and now the business is carried on by his two children, his son Todd and daughter Andrea. He has six grandchildren: Trent, Nolan, Madison, Ethan, Kellen and Sheridan.

Harold was a caring, funny, family and sports-loving person!

Harold was a giving person who was active in blood donation and always believed in becoming a donor for life. He was a faith driven person and loved spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many, many events. His main reason for retirement was for that very reason, to help his adult children with bringing their younger kids to practices, appointments and more so that they were more available to take on the business with the drive, passion, and determination that he taught them.

Harold was known as being a very funny person! He would talk to anyone and always had a joke or story to tell you to make you laugh! Harold also passionately loved many sports with baseball as his favorite. He had a bucket list to actually attended baseball games at all Major League Ballparks before he passed away and he met that goal! At his Celebration of Life, we did a sports-theme and asked everyone to wear sports jerseys or attire. It was quite fitting! He is missed by many!

With love, Your family!
