In Memory of

Christopher Benz

March 7, 1989 – January 11, 2007
Plymouth, Minnesota

A loving son, brother and friend to many. Chris was a charismatic, quick witted and comical young man who brought joy to his family, friends and community. Chris used laughter to connect with others with his gift of story telling, one-liners and his unique smirk. He was a laid back, go with the flow kind of kid, which made it easy for him to get along with a wide variety of people. This attitude complimented by Chris’ great sense of humor made him very well liked. Chris had the unique ability to brighten someone’s day with just a few words. Nothing gave him greater pleasure than to drop a joke and have the whole room light up in laughter. Chris was competitive when it came to sports, whether he was a spectator or in the game, and although he was not the strongest player on the team he always gave full effort and was an enthusiastic participant. His future was bright and he is deeply missed by his family and friends.

Christopher’s family and friends do not want his death to define his life, rather wants his life to become a lasting legacy of serving others by connecting communities in the prevention of suicide by raising awareness and providing education.
